What services does C-Decon provide in regards to COVID-19?
C-Decon Professional Sanitization’s team is professionally trained and has over 26 years of experience in decontaminating infected environments and places. Our team responds quickly and professionally depending on the potential level of contamination of COVID-19.
Our Response in 3 Levels
Level 1: Precautionary
For businesses and homes with no known contamination. These clients are seeking to keep their environments safe and sanitized for customers, employees, and family members. Daily disinfection takes place with an EPA- registered chlorine or peroxide-based cleaner. This service can be provided during off hours to avoid any disruption.
Level 2: Possible Contamination
For businesses and homes with known potential contamination of COVID-19. If you suspect that someone may have COVID-19 or is sick and enters your place of business, a thorough cleaning takes place by following the proper procedures and regulations for decontaminating the virus. This process is more extensive.
Level 3: Confirmed Contamination
For businesses, homes, and public places where confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported. C-Decon works directly with the client to create a specific plan of action for professionally sanitizing the environment. Regulations and procedures are followed and the ongoing sanitization of the environment is monitored.
*All levels employ the following methods and technologies as appropriate:
- EPA-registered chlorine or peroxide-based cleaners
- Ultraviolet (UV) light disinfection
- Vaporized Hydrogen Peroxide (VHP) mist fogger
- Donning and doffing of personal protection equipment (PPE), including respiratory protection
- Disposal of waste marked as a biohazard
- Decontamination team health monitoring
What types of disinfectant cleaners does C-Decon use to sanitize surfaces and environments?
C-Decon only uses the top of the line, EPA-registered disinfectant cleaners, for all of our professional sanitization services. Here is a brief description of some of the most common cleaners we use.
Decon30:
This is a bactericide cleaner with a light scent, no synthetic fragrances, dyes or bleach. It is formulated to kill gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria in 30 seconds. Decon30 is a one step disinfectant and cleaner. It has no health warnings and requires no rinsing. It can be used on porous and nonporous surfaces. It has a light, pleasant fragrance.
Benefect:
This cleaner utilizes Benefect’s proprietary essential oil Active Ingredient instead of using traditional synthetic chemicals to kill germs. It is effective against mycobacteria tuberculosis and HIV-1, which are used as a benchmark to measure potency. Made from plant extracts, it is virucidal, bactericidal, fungicidal, and tuberculocidal. It is reviewed by the EPA for safety, efficacy, and environmental impact. Benefect has a broad spectrum efficacy, kills TB in 5 minutes, has no health warnings, and requires no rinsing.
ShockWave:
This is a hydrogen peroxide disinfectant and cleaner. A one-step hospital-use germicidal disinfectant cleaner and odor neutralizer designed for general cleaning, and disinfecting of hard, non-porous environmental surfaces. It cleans quickly by removing dirt, grime, mold, mildew, and other common soils found in hospitals, nursing homes, schools and colleges, medical, dental offices, and life science laboratories.
Concrobium:
This cleaner is botanically derived and is an EPA-registered bactericide, tuberculocide, virucide, and fungicide made from a proprietary blend of plant extracts and essential oils. It’s thyme-based formula disinfects, cleans, and controls odor. It is fragrance free.
What type of equipment does C-Decon use for professional sanitization and disinfection?
UV (Ultraviolet) Disinfection Lighting Equipment
Unlike chemical approaches to water disinfection, UV light provides rapid, effective inactivation of microorganisms through a physical process. When bacteria, viruses and protozoa are exposed to UV light, they are rendered incapable of reproducing and infecting.
VHP (Vaporized Hydrogen Peroxide) Mist Fogger
This system is utilized to evenly distribute our cleaners throughout an environment for complete sterilization and biodecontamination.
PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
This equipment is used and worn by our decontamination team in order to remain healthy and safe while professionally disinfecting the environment.

What is COVID-19?
According to the Center of Disease Control (CDC):
“COVID-19 is caused by a coronavirus. Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that are common in people and many different species of animals, including camels, cattle, cats, and bats. Rarely, animal coronaviruses can infect people and then spread between people such as with MERS-CoV, SARS-CoV, and now with this new virus (named SARS-CoV-2).”
COVID-19 is the official name of the actual disease contracted by the coronavirus called SARS-CoV-2. According to the CDC, initial cases of COVID-19 / SARS-CoV-2 were reported in China. Now, reported illnesses have ranged from very mild (including some with no reported symptoms) to severe, including illness resulting in death.
How does COVID-19 spread?
The COVID-19 / SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus spreads mainly through person-to-person contact. When people come in close contact with an infected person (within six feet or less) and happen to ingest respiratory droplets produced through sneezes and coughs. From our current understanding, the coronavirus disease can survive on hard surfaces anywhere from 9 hours to 4-5 days.

Who is most affected by COVID-19?
It is our understanding that older people and anyone with severe underlying health conditions are at greater risk. Some of these may include heart disease, lung disease, and diabetes. People with compromised immune systems may also be at greater risk.
How do I prevent the spread of COVID-19?
You can prevent the spread of COVID-19 by following all of the precautionary steps stated by the CDC:
- Clean your hands often
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick
- Stay home if you’re sick
- Cover coughs and sneezes
- Wear a facemask if you are sick
